I was super excited when I saw that they had the comfort cushioning. I do a lot of walking around, and usually wear my Nikes so when I saw this I was like oh cool I can switch it up. I try them on the left shoe feels tighter than the right, length wise its find but across the top of my feet it feels super tight. I’m hoping it’ll stretch when I break them in and not sorta hurt my left foot. I don’t think sizing up would help since right foot fits perfectly in the shoe, and going up would just leave too much space near my toes.

Vans FINALLY realized that their core demographic was getting old and needed some extra support… I’ve been wearing vans since I was a kid, but always hated that I couldn’t wear them for a long period of time because they had zero support. I really hope Comfycush becomes standard in all of their shoes (specially the kids shoes), because it does make a huge difference. In past years I found Vans to run smaller, but these fit true to size. I’m a woman’s size 10, and at first ordered the 10.5 but they wouldn’t stay on my feet. The 10’s fit, but I found them a bit tight across the top of my feet. I’m wearing them with thick socks (like in the photo) because I know eventually they do break in and get more comfortable. Comfycush isn’t a huge deal of support, but it’s far better than the regular shoes. Overall, if you’re into Vans you’ll appreciate the added support.

I’ve been wearing Vans since childhood. Always liked the style but never really found them to be comfortable. When Vans Lite came out I bought one in almost every style. They were super light and comfortable but the soles wore out really fast and gave no traction. When the Comfycush came out it fixed that problem. Original gum soles perfectly integrated into the foamy base & feels much more durable than previous “Lite” model. I haven’t worn them long enough but hopefully they’ll last much longer than Vans Lite. They do feel bit tighter than original Vans though, so I wouldn’t recommend to those who have wide feet unless you’re OK sizing up.

I love the look but these are stiff, felt like big blocks on my feet and very wide around my heel. This is a problem I have with a lot of shoes so I guess I have narrow heels. But I couldn’t even walk in these in my usual size. The Vans core slip ons work for me, so I was hoping this would too, but sadly these just don’t. I thought the cushioning was going to be like a nice memory foam but it was nothing special, so not a huge loss for me.

Although the CumfyCush is much more cumfy and soft than the original, the heal slippage is horrible. The heal is much too wide and slides up and down just like a flip flop sandal. If you’re boarding in this shoe, they won’t stay on your feet. Will stick with the original slip on.

I have been buying these for my high schoolers for years… but they always complain about “the lack of cushion in them!” My daughter has been wearing these checked slip ons for abt 2 weeks now, and is so happy about the cushion in them… She even kept them on when we went for our evening walk! Seems like a great addition to an old classic !

I am normally a size 6 in women’s. So I ordered a size 4.5. It was too big in the back. My foot kept slipping out. The width felt good at that size, but I also have wide feet with bunions. Returned for a size 4. Foot doesn’t really slip out anymore but top is tighter. I heard it will stretch. The comfycush feels good! I am happy with how it looks! Hoping to break them in. For reference I wear a 3.5 in men’s in converse and usually a size 6 shoe in women’s and 6.5 in athletic/workout shoes.

Come on folks. These are Vans. One does not buy them for comfort or support. They are a short term fashion statement. Like many Vans, the ones I owned before in the Tartan plaid are discontinued. Way to go Van. So I bought these as a runner up. Kind of like taking your sister to the prom. My wife said, “I don’t like them”. I’m going to keep them.

These Vans are very comfortable, but because of the super comfy fit, they are a little tighter than the non comfy fit. I can’t wear no-show socks with them because of this. They fit great without socks, but I prefer to wear socks with them. I would buy a half size bigger if you want to wear footies with this particular style.

Love the shoes! Super cute and funky! Most colorful vans I have ever worn and I have been wearing them since junior HS.

The comfyCush Vans seem to have a shallower heel. So when my daughter walks, her heel slips out of the shoe. it should be noted that we ordered the same size as her regular slip on vans which fit well with no slippage. But the comfy’s fit different.

After owning the previous version of Vans Lite that’s currently discontinued I decided to give these a try. I love the sole as the 1/2 gum sole gives much better traction over the previous Lite and the size was pretty much true and didn’t run as narrow but still a bit more snug than the original version. Weight is a great Pro but 2 of my complaints are that the piping around the soles are painted on not heat treated rubber like the originals therefore it’ll fade or come off with wear. Another is that they keep slipping off and doesn’t stay on my heels. Seems like the heels are too wide or the back structure isn’t tapered enough or something. I fixed this by adding extra elastic by handsewing them spending my valuable 1/2 hour of my life.

LOVE the Comfy Cush. Are they tight and uncomfortable the first two days of wear? Yes. But after the initial 16-ish hours on my feet, these things are amazing and totally worth it! I won’t go back to the regular slip ons now.

LOVE these. Super cute and they fit well too. I normally wear a 9 but needed to order a 9.5. I’m glad I did!

Bummed the recommended size was so off. Bought a half a size bigger, and that was too small too. Don’t let Zappos recommend your size. Go with what you normally would chose.

What happened is I stepped on the bridge to the lake by my parents house and the support had washed out, so my White Vans were muddy and completely wet. I had to wash them and well, they shrunk really bad. They fit fine before this accident. Try not to wash them if you can! I was sick about it. I’m going to get my favorite color Red Vans in the place of these. Comfy Cush of course! I won’t buy anything but Comfy Cush from now on! I LOVE them!! I hate this happened right after I got my White Vans! I’m going to clean them with a damp cloth from now on. Thank you Zappos for continuing to be the best shoe store in America!!!

SO SO COMFY! I’m a teacher on my feet all day long and I took a chance on these and I do not regret it. I have regular vans slip ons and they are fine but the comfy Cush in these bring them to the next level. I ordered my usual size and they were a bit tight at first but after a day of wear they are absolutely perfect. I need more colors!
Kailani –
Why are there not more color/pattern options in ComfyCush? These are so comfortable and fit perfect with a thin no-show sock. I was obsessed with slip-ons from a comfort brand but really wanted the checkered pattern from Vans. So glad I got them! Slip on shoes are usually a challenge for as I have a slightly narrow foot and heel. These stay on, don’t slip off the back, and are a perfect width. Will purchase more colors!

These are Vans on steroids! Fit well, lots of cushion. I wear a 7.5-8 in athletic shoes and these I bought an 8 because they will end up in the wash. As Vans do they get more comfortable with wear!

Definitely fit smaller than the Vans Pro slip-on’s. I always wear a mens 6.5/women’s 8 and should have gone a half size up…
Tara –
Normally an 8 but had to go up a half size. 8.5 fits perfect!
Nina –
These run narrower than the classic slip on. My son wears the other non-comfycush, he could not even get these on. I was so annoyed because I didn’t realize they were different styles and had already cut off the tags and thrown away the box.
MJ –
I’ve only worn these Vans a few times since I bought them in May due to them feeling dramatically smaller than my old slip-ons of the same size. They have been painful to wear despite stretching, so they have mostly sat in my closet. I happened to throw them on today while running out the door, and the rubber sole/traction is completely separating from the shoe! Super disappointed in these as someone who owns multiple pairs of Vans and usually loves them!
Chris –
I’ve had 25-30 pairs of these over the years and they always fit exactly right. The only odd standout here was that the pair I received had clearly been worn and had both long, red human hair on them AND short white (dog?) hair on them. The box had seen better days when it arrived so I gave them a closer look. Glad that my wife was right there and watched me open them, so she won’t be suspecting me of sneaking around when she finds hair on the floor that isn’t hers.

i’m an amputee so it take a certain shoe to feel right when walking, and the comfy cush vans are amazing!
